The republicans are trying to justify their tax cuts by cutting spending in virtually all areas of public service. This crap has been going on since the Regan era and what has it gotten us?
1) An Space Administration that can barely perform its job
2) Reductions in health care funding
3) Evaporation of funding for both primary and higher education
4) reductions in the protection of our forests and wetlands as funds for the NFWS have been severely cut back
5) the possibility of the death of public broadcasting due to lack of funding/programming.
oh yea, and the wealthy are getting wealthier through a series of tax cuts and loopholes... nice.
